Critical Security Patches won't install

Hi

Can anyone make any suggestions on how I might solve the following problem? I performed a new install of Windows Server 2003 (including IIS) on an IBM eServer. I activated the copy as well. I have installed nothing else on the machine. When I try to install the critical security updates, through the Windows update site, the download and install procedure completes but the report screen that appears says no updates were installed. There is no error message. It says to rescan and try again (which I have tried a couple of times).

Can anyone tell me were I can find a log entry or information on why these updates are not installing?
