I've got the bloodhound.Expoit.6 virus and can't get rid of it. I'm running
Norton Antivirus (with 04/04/04 definition date). I've scanned my computer
four times during the last several days and Norton does not find anything,
but every time I come to this forum and open a post to check on it, the
Norton warning pops ups and tells me I've got the bloodhound.exploit.6 virus
and can't fix it. (C:\Documents and Settings\username\local
settings\temp\wbk27.tmp) It then puts it into quarentine. Same thing
happened again just now. Strange thing is I haven't done any web surfing
(other then to computer security information sites) during the last three
days because I was trying to get rid of a "hijacker" problem, which I got
rid of with the help of Mike Burgess and spywareinfo.com. Is this thing
hiding in my computer and eluding Norton or am I getting reinfected somehow.
I also noticed that there are a whole lot of folders and subfolders (100+)
in the above temp folder, is that normal and can I delete them? There is
also one suspiciuos file there that I can't delete called
"Perflib_Perfdata.a94.dat". Is that something bad? Sorry for all the
questions but the last few days have been a real pain, trying to fix this
computer. Also a big thanks to Mike and the others that have helped me with
the first problem. Mac
