assuming you are using outlook express, as this is the most common
complaint... it defaults to block all attachments. if you have a good virus
scanner go to the tools/options/security tab and uncheck the box that says
to not allow attachments to be saved or opened.

oh, and best get the latest updates for your virus scanner. now that you
used your real address on the news group you will shortly be receiving a
flood of virus laden mail that harvests addresses from here.
