I have set the value in the registry to (1) for NtCompatibilityLevel. I did the change via script from a remote machine.
Now that the switch is set, is the effect happen right away or do I have to reboot my servers? I have both nt4 and 2000. Also what does the NT LM Security Support Provider have to do with this?

TIA
