How do you know it was Microsoft headquarters?
The other port is probably the port that would have told you exactly what
the purpose was... that and the IP address and/or host name. I'm guessing
your computer probably initiated the connection for some uninteresting
reason. Give more information and perhaps we can take a better guess.
