at work we have a system like that. suspect mail is stopped before it gets
to the mail servers and is saved on another system where you can go look at
it with a web interface. you can tell it to delete or forward it on and
control the filter settings from the web interface. at home my isp uses one
that changes the subject line to start with '::SPAM::' which is easy to make
up a rule to throw away, they say they will soon be making it possible to
have them throw those messages away without downloading them but i don't
know if there will be a review before they are dumped... their spamassasin
software is pretty good though, i haven't seen one false positive, but it
does miss some percentage of spam.
