Trouble accessing microsoft sites...

I posted earlier but have found some new info. It seems our son has "lent" our Windows XP Pro to a friend who activated it over the internet. At about the same time we were suddenly unable to access any microsoft sites that require a password such as hotmail, The zone, MSN forums, etc., though we are able to access other sites normally.

I didnt realize that this type of security feature was in place. Are we never going to be able to access these sites again? What do we need to do to fix this?
