Unwanted mail

I recently asked a nerwsgroup a question and added my e-
mail address(not modified) now I am getting all kinds of
spam from auto mailers in my mail...Int. securities.patch
updates, undelivered mail notices and all kinds of other
stuff....I can't go in to take my address out of the group
or change my address info.or delete it from the
newsgroup...NEWSNET>>>>>>public group.....don't know how
to stop it. I tried to contact Microsoft online with no
success
