I went to the microsoft download center and downloaded
several suggested security downloads to my windows 98
system. As soon as I did that, my scanner program stopped
working. It comes up with the notice that something else
is accessing the scanner. Try as I might, I cannot
pinpoint what that is. I have a Gateway system and used go-
back to revert the drive to a previous state, and it still
will not work. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I got a new USB chord, still doesn't work. It will,
however, scan when I go into windows, system and double
click on hpsjvxd.exe and stimon.exe.
Is there any way to turn them back on and have them stay
on?
My scanner is an HP Scanjet 4100C. I have Windows 98.
Thanks
John M. Tracy
