has anybody else had a problem with a windows messenger security window

It says "A newer version is available. You must install
the newer version in order to continue. Would you like
to do this now?" Options: Yes No with buttons at bottom
OK and "what's new" ....
The problem is, I DON'T HAVE WINDOWS MESSENGER and every
time I click on "no" and "ok" it just keeps popping back
up. The window is really getting annoying, it is ALWAYS
THERE and WON'T GO AWAY. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
