Why the distinction?
I'd agree with regards to straight going to the site and picking the update,
at, say, www.microsoft.com/technet/security
However, both the AutoUpdate and WindowsUpdate sites are very carefully
engineered with the expectation that they will be targets--and I think the
qualify as "very" secure.
