Beth,

I hope the following information helps; It seems you are trying to figure
out how to password protect your computer so your children can't access it
every your back is turned doing the 1001 things a mother must do each and
every day.

The procedure is different for each operating system. For XP do the
following:

    1. Click on Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. Double-click User Accounts
    4. Click on the account you want to change
    5. Click on Create A Password
Follow the instructions.

These steps will result in your computer being locked and inaccessible
without a password. You will need to enter your password every time you
want to use your computer. Setting your screensaver to require a password
will keep your computer safe even if you leave it for a while (to do some of
those 1001 things you have to do) as long as your screensaver is set to come
on quickly.

If you are using a different OS, then search your Help files for the correct
method for your particular situation.

I really hope this helps......
