We are currently having individual users doing Windows
update once a week to update their security patches. We
would like to know more about doing it automatically, so
each user will not have to. We know how to set it up, but
how secure is it to do automatic updates? Will the users
be prompted to reboot after doing updates automatically?
If so, can we turn it off? All of our users shutdown at
night, so there is no need to reboot immediately. We
would like to have it done without any interaction from
the individual users. We have a mixture of Windows 2000
and XP workstations. Is there a Windows update manual
where I could learn a little more about the pros and
cons? Let me know. Thanks.
