I don't know if you're getting "Messenger Service" popups
or not but here's some info on that:

For other types of popups (not "Messenger Service") a good
popup blocker (I think so, anyway, I use it) is Popup
Manager http://www.endpopups.com/
Another tool that works is Adaware. Download and run
Adaware (free version) from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
It detects and safely removes dataminers, tracking
cookies, dialers and other objects from your computer.
Use "webupdate" before you scan to make sure you have the
latest ref file (open Adaware and click on the globe
or "Check for Updates Now"). The ref files are updated
frequently - sometimes several times a week. . Run
a "full scan"
