Take a look at the CD is it scratched or does it have dirt/ finger prints/
peanut butter, etc on it.

You can try cleaning it with a lint free cloth. If really bad you can rince
the disk off under cold clean water and dry with clean cloth wiping outwards
from the middle.

Let the CD dry completely and then look at the CD again for scratches. If
the scratch is bad enough you might need to contact the manufacture for a
replacement disk.

But, before going for a replacement check out the drive by using another CD
to make sure it isn't a hardware problem. You can also try cleaning out the
drive bay with a can of clean air. Available at most computer stores. With
the bay open blast out the tray as per directions on the can.
