You must follow the instructions for running the "fix". One suggestion is to
run the fix in the safe mode: reboot and continue to hit the F8 key until
the startup option menu appears, pick "Safe Mode" and let the computer
finish booting up into the Safe Mode, then run "fixblast.exe" from the
Start/Run/Command line. Once it completes, reboot the computer and let it
boot up normally into Windows XP. Run fixblast.exe again just to make sure.
Load the MS MSBlaster fix for XP from the Windows Update site, find and load
a firewall program and get a good AV program - Norton's is excellent.
