File and Print Sharing

General question : we are trying to decide on a policy
regarding file and print sharing on our clients. None of
our clients has a need to share and file or printer.
However, if we disable F&P, we have trouble pushing out
program updates, etc with AD. Also, a problem pushing out
Norton AV sig updates directly from the server. However,
enabling F&P is a known security hole. Not looking for
tech solutions to issues I stated, just a general
discussion on what opinions are.
