You are naive to think that by switching to another OS, you will absolve
yourself of any responsibility to patch your systems. I use, on average,
three operating systems. And I spend just about the same amount of time
maintaining all three.
Go ahead and move all your systems to Linux, don't patch, and see where that
lands you...
