E-Mail password

I had set up my mail so that when I clicked on it I had to
enter my password before I could get into my mail. I did
this so when someone else was using my computer they could
not go in and read my mail. Well my husband up-dated
something and now when I click on mail, then read the
screen goes directly into my mail and does not ask me for
my password. I have tried everything to set this up again
so no one can go into my mail without a password and I
can't get it to work. Could someone please tell me how to
set up a password when I click on Mail. Thank-you.
