I don't suppose reading the hourly posted FAQ, doing a search here or on
google was an idea? This only gets asked almost as often as the FQ gets
posted.
MS has done all they can do about it which is issue a warning about it
and I believe instructions on what to do. Whoever told you it was a bug
doesn't know what they're talking about. It's scum sucking spammers
exploiting a windows service, a service that does serve a purpose too.
Install a firewall and block the port the service uses and your
messenger popups will go away.
