I concur. On my Windows NT4 workstation, several processes
(explorer.exe for example) would crash repeatedly once this hotfix was
applied and I had the same event log messages as you. Everything
returned to normal once the hotfix was uninstalled.

The strange thing is that several other NT4 workstations here updated
without a hitch, so it seems other factors are at play too.
