In addition to these points, later versions of Windows usurp the Master
Browser role when they announce that they are capable of becoming Master
Browser.

So when you plug your XP laptop into your home network and it takes away
Master Browser from your Win98 desktop, you lose your network view for
five to fifteen minutes.
