Today, I received notice from Road Runner, my email
provider, that an email sent to me contained a virus
(W32.Gibe.B@m). The sender of the original message
stated to be "Microsoft Internet Security Department."
I verified that the virus filter message was from Road
Runner (Nicholas, REF: 151163). The message that was
infected does not read as if it were truly from
Microsoft. The email I received from Roadrunner, with
the infected email, is in the postscript section of this
post.
I have no idea of how to inform Microsoft of this virus
incident other than through this post. I tried to send
Microsoft a passport help request, but I have no free
support remaining.
I hope Microsoft gets this post. I will keep the
modified email from Road Runner for only 7 days. It
contains txt attachments that Microsoft may want to view.
Aloha, Sheri.
P.S. The email I received from Road Runner, which
contained the infected email, read as follows:

This e-mail in its original form contained one or more
attached files that were infected with a virus or worm,
or contained another type of security threat.
The following attachments were infected and have been

inability to clean them:

Road Runner does not contact the sender of the infected
attachment(s) in the event that they were not actually
sent from the indicated party.
Please contact the sender directly to alert them of their
issue with infected files if you wish to do so.
