Check C's network connection for proper activation of file and printer
sharing. It's a network component that should be checked in the box on
the General tab. Then click the Advanced tab and make sure the firewall
isn't active. There is no security policy tool on XP Home.
Check sharing permissions on C at C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Documents which is the Shared Documents folder that is the default
folder shared. However, I think your problem is with the logon.
Even if Guest account is disabled, Guest is still used to authenticate
remote users. If something is wrong with the Guest account or if Guest
permissions have been removed or denied, that could cause a logon
failure. However, this is pretty rare, so I don't have any more specific
suggestions.
