SpyBot Immunize feature will stop many spyware parasites.
They perform a valuable service for people that are unaware of the abuse
that they commit by getting rid of the junk.

I guess by using this logic one can discard their anti virus application as

So use a good HOSTS file or SpywareBlaster.
