See whether these pop-ups say "Messenger" at the top. If they do, your
firewall has a hole in it [probably it is letting in messages on UDP port
135]. If this is the case, you should check the web site of the
manufacturer of your firewall for known bugs, patches, and if that doesn't
help, find a support contact email address, phone number or discussion group
for that firewall to find out what's wrong.
