But why are so many of these ending up in my Hotmail Account? Esp. as MSN
use McAfee to scan attachments - what a joke!
Surely, if the MS security site has a piece about them, then MSN should be
able to filter them out before they end up in users Hotmail in boxes?

That's true. The AV software should inspect the email as it is downloaded
into the client. Panda does this well. I don't know about Norton but I
would assume so. If your AV did not catch the virus then it either WAS
partially cleaned elsewhere or you are not catching Gibe. Just look at the
size of these e-mails/attachements and remember they have to be small enough
so that the maximum number of free web mail subscribers can accept it.
