You need a true firewall, not just a router. Given that you have a network,
I'd suggest going for a hardware device - NetGear & LinkSys make nice cheap
ones. I prefer the Netgears myself. Make sure it does stateful packet
inspection - it will also do DHCP and NAT for you.
