Here is a link to general information about the EULA agreements:
http://www.microsoft.com/education/license/eula.asp

Sorry but there is no public resource that allows you to view the EULAs
before purchase. If you have a specific presales question please feel free
to call 800-426-9400 for assistance.

You CANNOT make a duplicate copy of Office for your portable computer when
it comes 'pre-installed' on the system.

>From the Office XP Pro Retail License
"· General License Grant to Install and Use Software Product. You may
install and use one copy of the Software Product on a single computer,
device, workstation, terminal, or other digital electronic or analog device
("Device"). You may make a second copy of the Software Product and install
it on a portable Device for the exclusive use of the person who is the
primary user of the first copy of the Software Product. A license for the
Software Product may not be shared. "

>From Encarta Reference Library 2001Retail License
"Applications Software. You may install, use, access, display, run, or
otherwise interact with ("RUN") one copy of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, or any
prior version for the same operating system, on a single computer,
("COMPUTER"). If not prevented by copy protection technology, the primary
user of the COMPUTER on which the SOFTWARE PRODUCT is installed may make a
second copy for his or her exclusive use on a portable computer."
