Thanks! I'll get this to the right folks in VS.

I hate to cross-post, but this probably needs to be directed to a place that SQL Server folks frequent.

Just verified via Win2000 sp3 and .net sdk 1.0 sp1 that .net SDK/Slammer patch
    installs with no problems.
Now, hfnetchk reports all patchs A-OK :-)
However, another problem associated with this patch seems to have cropped up:
     - installed the patch below as admin
     - now, logged in as a power user, the system tray SQL Server Service
Manager is inactive (perviously, it had a red block, indicating that it was
turned off, which I could turn on, as power user).
Now, after current patch, it is completely inaccessible, and looks like this (small embedded gif):

Previously, I could enable or disable SQL for .net SDK through this tray-icon.
Logged in as admin, it looks normal with:
     Server: <computername>\NETSDK Service: SQLServer
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
     - Mitch
