I was surfing the net (XP, IE6) on a dial-up connection
and a pop-up window appeared saying something to the
effect that my personal bank account and credit card
information may have been exposed fraudulantly over the
connection. I have not been able to locate any reference
to this warning message on Microsoft's KnowledgeBase, and
I did not save a screenshot of the message itself. What
should I make of this? Was it generated by XP or IE or
another application? Thanks for the input.
