What is happening to my email??

I received an email in the inbox of my personal email
account which showed that it was from me. This was one of
those porn-type emails.

How could this happen?

Can I set something on my computer to prevent this from
happening again?

I am not yet sure if that same email went to anyone, or
everyone, in my address book (I sure hope not).

When I click on "properties" for the email it shows it was
sent from a .com address, then it shows (unknow) and then
a series of 10 numbers (sorry, i don't know the technical
name for this series of numbers). Would this information
help me find out who sent this?

Is there someone I should be reporting this problem to?

Any help or advise anyone can provide would be greatly
appreciated.
