Thanks for the reply. I am already using HFNetChk v 3.86 from Shavlik.
It shows that my server needs MS02-061, but does not mention the hotfix
described in MS KB 258437. This hotfix is called "FIX:
GetEffectiveRightsFromAcl() fails in Service Pack 6" and in the article
it says the "Symptoms" are:

In Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 (SP6) and SP6a, the
GetEffectiveRightsFromAcl function is broken. For a given discretionary
access-control list (DACL), GetEffectiveRightsFromAcl returns the same
access mask for all users (even though different users may have
different access rights). The function works correctly in Windows NT 4.0
in SP5.

Under "Resolution" it says, "Without GetEffectiveRightsFromAcl, there is
not a good way to enumerate a user's access rights for a particular
object."

So, I'm still left wondering how this was NEVER fixed in any cumulative
or rollup patch in the nearly three years since the NTmarta.dll file was
updated. And, what would happen on my server if I installed the latest
SQL hotfix (MS02-061) without having noticed the "Note" about 258437?

Thanks
