There are also places, other than the registry, where applications can be
set to start up.

There are a number of applications out there to help look at these things,
but I use
System Mechanic from http://www.iolo.com. It does a whole lot more besides.

It is not free, but is fully operational for 30 days which should/may be
enough time
to get you sorted.
