I had this same problem on XP and also 98SE. I resolved the problem by
going to (in Outlook Express) Tools-Options-Security-(uncheck the box
"Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially
be a virus". If you have a good virus program such as Norton anti-virus
this will catch all potential virus. let me know if this works for you.
