I don't know the first answer.
On the second one, remind me of why you need to get at this critter? I'm
guessing that you are installing or configuring the /tsweb web access method
for Remote desktop?
All that is needed in the default situation is to install IIS, including the
Remote Desktop Web Connection, which is a sub-part of World Wide Web
Service.
If you are able to use port 80,TCP, you then need to forward both port 80
and port 3389, TCP (both) to the host machine, assuming that IIS and RD are
running on the same machine, in whatever firewall or router is involved in
the connection to the Internet. In the ICF Internet Connection Firewall,
these are predefined and named remote desktop and web server (http) as I
recall.
If you DO need to admin IIS--to change the default port for the web site,
for example, if your ISP (as mine does) blocks port 80 (no--it isn't
MSN!)--right-click on My Computer, choose manage, expand Services and
Applications, expand IIS--etc. Keep expanding and right-clicking and
choosing properties on objects and you'll find what you are looking for, I
suspect.
Bear in mind that for /tsweb to work, BOTH ports 80 and 3389 must be open
both inbound (at your site) and outbound (at the site you are attempting to
connect from.) Another common pitfall is that once you connect via /tsweb,
you get a screen with a slot for a name or IP address--just hit enter at
that screen, if connecting via the Internet.
