I gues I was not clear enough in my last request/inquiry!

When you click on a web site, a cookie is generated on
your computer. (Regardless of whether or not you respond
to invitations on the site).

Question is - would the originating web server identify me
as an anonymous person or does the cookie export my
computer logon user name to the web server?
