Hello

I once had a DOS script running, which deleted all the files in C:\Windows\Temp
at boot time.
This might be the reason, because Microsoft copies the new files here
and at boot time they are copied to the Windows directory.

______________

Otherwise try the following :
After executing the patch
look into the file
C:\Windows\Wininit.ini

There you find all the files that are to be exchanged at next reboot.
Normally it looks like that :

NUL=Oldfile
OldFile=NewFile

This means that the file with the name "Oldfile" will be deleted and then replaced by "NewFile"

Click onto the oldfile with the right mouse button --> properties --> version.
Then you see the files version.
Then do the same with Newfile.

If they are the same, you already have exchanged them and merely the patch displays the wrong message.
