Somewhere between turning my computer off, and twelve
hours later turning it back on again, strange things have
happened... 1) The majority of desktop icons
disappeared... 2)Any attempt to open ANYTHING results in a
Microsoft Internet Explorer Message = "Your current
security settings (etc, etc) ActiveX (etc, etc) will not
display properly... 3) Using the Folders button from the
toolbar, I am able to see folders on my computer (in fact
it will display 23 objects for example) but no icons
appear and no files can be located... 4)Comparing
the "Down" computer to a trouble free computer, I noticed
in the Internet Options/Security there are no longer any
Zones (Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, Restricted
Sites ie are no longer visible on the "down" comp.)
Suggestions?
