More info is the program is triad service writer. (in the
automotive field) Keeps track of our customer data base
as well as a parts lookup where they are automatically
put into a repair workorder for a estimate and ultimately
billed out for an invoice as well as for our records. I
did contact the vendor and they are just in the catalogue
end now. i think they are just blowing me off. They said
I quote" Windows 2000 and windows Xp do not recognize
dongles" doing a search on the subject I see they are
still implamented and will be so in the future. Their
alternative was to go with a company that has software
that will interface with their parts look up catalogue,
which wouldn't be a problem except that we cannot import
our custmer data base into it.(may not seem like alot but
we havw 7years and over 18,000 customer histories on
repairs made to their vehicles we would like to keep. I
don't know who the vendor is for the dongle key, the disk
that came with it says I S options.
Thanks GAry
