The 'advertisement' is trying to scare you into buying their product.

Be sure to keep your operating system up to date using Windows Update.
Also make sure that you have software anti-virus installed with the latest
definition files. Norton anti-virus 2002 works well for me (with email
protection enabled).

A program called "Ad-aware" can be used to check for pesky little
unwanted programs left by advertisers. You can find Ad-aware at
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

If you're not using Windows XP, then you might consider upgrading to the
home edition. Be sure to use NTFS partitions when formatting the hard drive.
The 'internet connection firewall' should be enabled and the 'simple file
sharing' should be disabled. Use a strong password for the Administrator
account and enable the account lockout policy (3 invalid login attempts will
lock account for 30 minutes).
