I recently purchased a new computer with XP home. When I
set up my internet connection, I typed in the password for
my ISP and hit apply / OK. When I hit the connect button
to log in to my ISP the password was incorrect, it
appeared that both my username and password were saved as
my password. I cleared the password in the connection
settings dialog and tried saving it using the checkbox on
the dial-up popup, but the next time I tried the
connection the password was also incorrect (again it
appeared to be saved as my username and password
combined). Am I missing a setting change that I need to
make in order for the password to be saved correctly?
