Thank you very much for your reply. However, the KB
article problem has been resolved on SP2 and my SQL Server
had SP2 installed and the problem still appear. Here are
some more information...

The Setup
---------
On Server:
- SQL Server 2000 SP2 (The problem appears on BOTH
Standard Edition AND Developer Edition)
- Certificate with Server Authenication from a STAND ALONE
CA
- SQL Server Network Utility -> Force protocol encryption -
 NOT turn on

On Client:
- VB application
- ADO Connection with Use Encryption for Data (MDAC 2.6/
MDAC 2.7)
- Certificate with client Authenication from the same
STAND ALONE CA
- Client Network Utility -> Force protocol encryption -
NOT turn on

The problem
-----------
- SQL Server Service stop responding once in a while

- the service need to stop and restart for any other action

MORE INFO
---------
- Client Applications working properly under SSL encryption

- Could not find any pattern to cause the Server to hang.

- It could be hanging under couple connections or it could
be working under hundereds of connections

- If disable all the client applications not to use
encryption, then SQL server is stable

Thank you.
