I work for a company which creates embedded software for
IP video. One of our products contains a web server. The
browsers view video by downloading ocx from a cabinet file
stored at the server. Previously we have obtained from
VeriSign a software publishing credentials and signed the
cab file.
However as keys are valid for 1 year( I poned VeriSign
technical support), this key has expired and as a result
browsers are generating warnings that the cab file cannot
be trusted anymore.
Is there a way to disable this warning? After al the
software has been signed and has not been changed as it is
on the embedded device.
It is a huge problem for us as we applied to VeriSign for
a renewal of the key, they generated a new key. Obviously
next year we will have the same problem again.
Regards,
Antoan
