There are a couple of possiblities for you on this error--this is a generic
Access97 issue, rather than one which is XP-specific.

This article gives the specifics of two possible fixes. Since yours is a
new install, I suspect that the first fix--which involves renaming a font
file and then reinstalling, will take care of it for you.
