I need someones help removing an application. Here is the
history.
1) I was browsing and got hit with a ton of pop-ups, my
machine charted churning and next thing IE has completely
changed look/appearance with "HUNTBAR" from HUNTBAR.COM
2) I tried all means of contacting them but they are
unresponsive, no listing of applet in Add/Remove However
on FAQ site they had the following:
IMPORTANT: If you did not use our manual installation
program, you can only remove it with our special program.
The program is available for download here.
3) After clicking here hyperlink, it did remove the
toolbar, HOWEVER everytime I hit a search site (Yahoo,
Google, Dogpile, etc) when I click search it throws up a
frame, the right side is the true website I was searching,
however the left side is a search window from their
results page. I want this removed
4) I have taken IE down to 5.0, and back up to 6.0 with no
resolution to my issue. Win2K Pro is desktop.
Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated!
