Firstly, I am using WinXP fully updated with Windows
Update.

Last night and tonight I have received messages from
someone advertising stuff. The thing is, I haven't signed
up for, or onto any instant message servers. I hate
them. :) So how did I get a message pop-up on my desktop
if I haven't logged into XPs IM or downloaded any other
IM programs?

I ran a virus checker, and theres nothing, and I ran
AdAware and only found your usual doubleclick cookies.

Heres screenshots of what I saw.

Thanks for your help.
