Interference with MS Programs

I downloaded McAffee Virus Protection and now all of my MS
Programs open for 5 seconds and then immediately shut
down. All my MS Programs are affected - no others.
Anyone with any clues as to what happened? I'm getting
little - no help from McAffee. Thanks.
