I have a number of virus issues, 22,000+ .tmp files ( and growing daily),
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED to name a few.

At this point, I think I need to wipe my HD clean and start from scratch.
The catch is I'm running XP Home from an upgrade disk. Will this lack of the
full OS impact my ability to reinstall?


Also have ready the install CD for whatever version you upgrade *from*. As I recall, you do not need to have the prior Windows version installed, just have its install CD available so you can qualify to the upgrade CD that you have a prior version of Windows from which you can upgrade.
