Re: hotmail from me to myself

Good morning.

I received a mail with an eletronic card, probably some kind of virus... I
did not open it, but what impressed me, the mail was sent from my own
hotmail account to another account of mine!

Well, I just scanned my pc with Avast in boot mode, and nothing abnormal
showed up.

I changed my hotmail password.

What can this be?

Either someone who has your email address in their addressbook is infected with one of the many email-spewing viruses and/or your email address was harvested at some point by spammers. It's not an uncommon occurrence. As long as you continue to practice Safe Hex (as you did by not opening the attachment and by keeping your antivirus updated) you'll be OK.
